WHITE LINEN: What's Your Flavour?

One of my small luxuries in life is to have fresh, crisp, white linen sheets.

I believe this addiction moved from a 'want' to a 'need' after my first 5 star hotel experience. That first discovery of sublime Egyptian Cotton sheets and large, fluffy, cloudlike pillows, was both wonderous and shocking at the same time! The shock component was the realisation that something so Divine had existed just out of my reach until my 3rd decade on this earth!

Well, I can tell you! Upon returning home I rectified this oversight 'tout de suite'!

Never again the scratchy inferior cottons, nor the slightly faded patterns that no longer have roses where slumber resides! No! Not for me!! Pure white heaven from now on!

So the only question is;

How do you do prefer a white linen bedroom?

Casual But Feminine

Elegant Boudoir

A Little Bit Country

Scandinavian Beauty

Simple Irish Linens

Or the ever popular: Can't Decide?

'I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
From up and down, and still somehow, It's cloud illusions I recall, I really dont know clouds at all
... '

Lyrics: Joni Mitchell

Definitely a mish mash of all of the above, especially if it has a mnongram.
Its true that once you've been sultry sweet in the softest sheets you can never go back & its ends up being a bit of a curse.
Thanks so much for the tag..its on my to do list. I have 4...need another....
Sweet treats weekend!!!

Oh yes, I love them all. In fact, I already have a couple of these images saved myself. Love the little black dog, and the bed he's sitting on.
Thanks for your lovely comment on my post. I thought you would like the moon image! Hope you are feeling better soon too.

I think it depends on the day. Sometimes casual, sometmes boudoir or country. I think my style is eclectic.

My very favorite sheet set is a cashmere flannel set. It is to die for soft!

Nice Joni Mithcell reference. I have her song Circle Game on my blog playlist.

Thanks for leaving sucn nice comments on my blog. They are appreciated.

I have never slept on linen sheets. Please tell me what is a good brand to try. Do they wrinkle to much? MB

Here here to little white luxuries! I love my soft white bed, but I would lay my head to rest on any one of these pillows, especially the one with the Irish white linens.
I hope your own little white heaven brings you some relief -- feel better soon!

Hi Mary Beth. After reading your comment I realised I was a little zealous with my opening line 'crisp, white linen sheets'. In fact I have white egyptian cotton sheets. Still a luxury I assure you. I do though have some white linen pillowslips which I picked up for a bargain and YES they are fabulous to sleep on.
