The simple pleasures of life

Down by the sea, not a care in the world except keeping the boat afloat!! And maybe … How to get back to land now the tide has come in. And … OH Dear I’ve slimed my dress with algae, Mother will be cross!. And … I wish he would look at me instead of that damn stupid boat!! And .. Did he really think this would be a perfect date ??? Yep.. Not a care in the world!!

Wouldn’t it be Luv..er..ly!

I know it is Australia but I’m talking about the snow effect on some blogs I am trying to visit. Seems my pc just doesn’t like snow.. Aussie pc.. doesn’t quite understand it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere.. so If I haven’t commented and it is snowing on your blog.. forgive my pc it’s stupidity!!

Gorgeous, Julie!!!
What a beautiful post!
The simple things in life , are not always the hardest to accomplish. Sometimes it´s enough with a look or a smile, or even a nice comment.

I love visiting your blog. It fills me with joy, so does your comments you leave me.

At least , my blog, is not snowing , yet...haha.

Wish you a wonderful weekend, with lots of happiness.

Lots of love/
Luiza

Loved this image & post. He said, she said. Hubby & I have been married 28 years and we still have to stop & explain what is going on in our heads.

It's truly amusing how simple photos recreate the best of memories. I use to fish a lot & it quickly came back that feeling of a slow, lazy, warm summers day down by the lake. Thanks Julie I needed that. I hope you will be having a lazy kind of weekend as well? Any plans? Hugs to you from Houston xoxo

My Mac has a distinct allergy to snow too - must be my Aussie origins!
I reckon that little girl's dreaming about how to shrink herself so she can get on and sail away on an adventure. Or maybe it's the boat she would like to enlarge for the same reason. If she were me - that's what I'd be thinking ;-) No snow, but enough frost here to give me an excuse not to wash the mud off my car- hose frozen solid!!! Love xxx

Hope the comment worked - I may have sailed away too early ...

Oh, what a delightful little scene, Julie.....those were the days...no Wii's or computers or MP3 players. Life was so simple then. A lovely picture and loved your text.
I hope that you are enjoying your weekend and that you are taking it easy. XXXX

Such a sweet post and no apologies necessary. I'm still making my way after being gone for a two months. Tell your pc not to worry about visiting The Hut though, it's in the 80s here today! I leave the snow and rain for the rest of the country. lol

This image is so sweet, and the written caption just makes it even more so! It is nice to have someone in our lives that 'floats our boat'!

Happy weekend to you!

That darling picture floats my boat, too, Julie! But I do hope he'll give her the string soon so that she can enjoy sailing the boat, too.

Hmm. Snow. Well thats as close as we are going to get I suppose although I do recall snow in Tasmania one Christmas and 4 years ago it was 12 degrees in Melbourne. Sigh. Anyway love your picture very Victorian and the sailor suit - not that I would put my son in one but I like looking at them.

Greetings Ruby,

Thank you for reminding me that I must take my Capt. down to the sea for a walk. We all need to pay attention to such simple pleasures, and we will do so, as soon as it stops raining here in Carmel. It is snowing in Paris on my blog, so I might not hear from you until it stops in the New Year.

Fondly,

Marjorie

You had me going there with the "snow" comment. Such a sweet picture. I used to collect old pictures of children and had them all over our big, old house. They weren't suited much to this house...too new and few walls, but I still love them.

Oh it has been a weekend of enjoying simple things here... hard work, listening to 80's music while working, and a cool drink and a swim. Now for catching up on my bloggy friends. Hope the snow problem subsides! A-m xx
