SEA The World
Under A Southern Sky
.
.
.
The sun is fierce under a southern sky... colours stand bold and true .. and the afternoon sun casts deep shadows stretching out to the horizon... Shadows that can trick the eye in this harsh Australian sunlight..

Shadows of My Mind
.
.
The Sydney Spring is still playing hide and seek.. Playing tricks with my mind!! So I've created my own imaginary spring.. Where sailboats glide through the sand and hopscotch along the shadows.. Where the sea can be golden hued or iridescent blue.. where the eye cannot tell where the sand ends and the sea begins.

SEA The World
Comes To Sydney
.
.
This shot was taken at South Cronulla Beach, Sydney on one of our sunny days ..
The shadows are from the towering palms in the park behind me
I only managed a few shots before the camera battery died..
C'est La Vie.. I'll imagine the rest.

Julie,
You are a magnificent photographer! I love these images. And I can't tell where the sand ends in a couple of the photos. Just beautiful.
Have a nice evening.
Teresa
Never noticed your caption, till I came here.
Seems you stand in a huge window or between pillars.
The see is so still.
So cool! Your imagination is as vast as the seas.

Whatever it is, it's beautiful!
I was thinking of you today. Actually even brought you up over coffee with my husband this morning. On the way to the cafe we passed by a gallery and peeked in through the windows. I told him how your photos are so much more artistic and poetic than anything displayed on those walls.
Dearest, you not only have the tech tools to create a unique look to your blog, you have the unique gift of storytelling in an UNLINEAR WAY...A WAY ALL YOUR OWN that speaks to my creative soul. THANK YOU and I am so glad that I finally followed you! WOW, what pictures.....cheers to you down under! Anita
I am always amazed at whta you can do with photography. You see things in other ways and it is quite remarkable.
I love what you've done with the photos Jules ... truly amazing and very imaginative.
Have a great 'sunny' spring weekend (I hear the weathers has not been too good ... hubby and daughter2 are in Aust at the moment)
xx
What a beautiful moment in time you captured.
Hi Julie,
Beautiful, beautiful images of the watery world that surrounds you. It's so lovely that our world is topsy turvy, as I can enjoy the Spring through your photographs while I sit here in the UK enjoying the late Autumn !! XXXX
Beautiful, beautiful shots, Julie, up there with my many favourites of yours. It's sometimes a wrench to leave your web page and turn back to work. I think you should do a special Northern Hemisphere Giveaway to bring hope and cheer to those of us who are in the chilly damp.
Wow, gorgeous! A great imagination is priceless!!!
Julie,amo el mar.Gracias por tus imágenes,siempre preciosas.
Que tengas un lindo fin de semana!!!.Marina
The watery places in your imagination are so fertile, so rich with trickery... it's a whole other world, an alternate universe under YOUR hat, isn't it Miss Julie? Gorgeous work!
You are a wizard! .....so clever and interesting....I'm not sure how you do it, but it's certainly enigmatic.....makes me want to swim out there and sea..and sea, and sea......oh, how I love the sea.....
Wow! Incredible play with your images. Love it. And your words -well spoken.
beautiful images. love black & white photographs. happy weekend!

Beuatifull images, I like them in all the ways.
Have a nice weekend.
Hugs
I don't know how you did it but I thought it was sand in that first shot. Loved all the colored ones but it's the B&W ones that really show off the details of light and shadow. Just stunning work and I'm sure took a lot of time.
I'm mesmerized by the lines of shadow on the beach in the second to the last photos!!! very cool.

I wish it were summer again here! It went by way too fast.
Hope all is well. Sorry I don't drop in often my computer still has issues with your page for some reason. It makes me unhappy I can't visit as much because I just love your photos.
Oh lovely...you know how much I want to see Sydney...thanks for your virtual tours, Julie. I will see you in email, I hope. I just did an idiot thing (speaking of cameras). So out I go before it's too dark. La Giulia waves pawpad:) xoxo
Was such fun to look at your picts! I just adore the sea. Kit
Amazing pictures and altering of them dear Julie. I always hear myself sighing when I come here and take in all the awesome photography. What a talent!
I am wishing you a weekend of sunshine my dear friend.
hugs
I so prefer the altered shot (top) to reality! And in a way it's a metaphor to life -I believe we do create our realty.
Hopeful it will be a wonderful Spring weekend in your corner!!
JULIE DEAREST! THANK YOU FOR VISITING WITH ME! And that color blue....OH YEAH! I was always a PERIDOT GREEN LOVER, and I still love that color, but the AQUA and TURQUOISE and TIFFANY BLUE has just captured me. My décor in the house is mostly sage green, but with our new addition and renovation of my studio, I am going with white, grays and TURQUOISE...your lovely photos of the sea and sky perfectly show off the natural beauty of this color that just sets myself at rest, a much needed feeling after long and hard days at work teaching!
Enjoy your weekend dearest; I am so enjoying your blog and kindness!
CIAO BELLA, Anita
You always do such amazing things! Couldnt begin to imagine coming up with these.Fiona
Wow. You are amazing! I love your creativity and your photography. The colours are beautiful.
You are so correct that sun of ours is strong. Light can play tricks. Hope you are enjoying the weekend. We had some sunshine today! xox
Julie,
You really had me there...coming and going...I couldn't understand what I was looking at...you are so clever with your skills and so witty in your mind...
Thanks for explaining how you got it all started, for showing us the original shot...sharp contrasts on the sand makes this all so much fun!
Have a great rest of the weekend!
Hugs,
Becky
