Mooloolaba:
Looking For Paradise

I went looking for paradise.. Mooloolaba, although beautiful, wasn't quite what I went in search of.. A little too noisey and too much traffic to allow me the mental escape from home, so 'no cigar'. BUT.. the best thing about Mooloolaba was meeting up with one of my dear blog friends.. Ange.. from Signed by Ange.. Yes all the way from France, Ange was here visiting her mum and I was lucky enough to meet up with her and all her wonderful mess-monsters whilst staying in Mooloolaba..
.
.
Just like their mum, Ange's kids are beautiful bubbly bundles of energy. How fabulous it was to meet up with a fellow blogger.. Although I thought it would seem a little surreal, Ange is exactly as she seems on her blog and I felt immediately at ease.. Like meeting up with an old friend. I was also quite spoilt with pressies as I recently won one of Ange's giveaways... So as I write this I realise I haven't taken any shots of my goodies... I'll have to share them with you another time.. I won't however be sharing any photos of Ange and her beautiful family as we made a pact... no photos.. Wouldn't want you all to see my two heads!! Iinstead I'll just give you these shots of the sea in 'almost Paradise'.. The good news is I did find paradise in Noosa a few days later.. I also found lots of antique stores to while away the hours and part with some of my cash.. I don't want to bore you with consecutive sea posts.. so how about antique shopping next?
.
.
.
Thanks for all the lovely comments on my aerial shots. It was fun to be able to share that experience with you. Have a lovely week.. and next stop: Antique shopping.. near and far!! Not a Mooloolaba in sight!

The ocean is gorgeous in that last shot. I never get tired of images like that, Julie. How nice that a place... what was it you said? "a little too noisy & too much traffic"... has such a view to gaze on. Pleasant week to you.

the images are amazing. Everybody talks about Christmas. Christmas is wonderful, I know but when I see your pictures I miss the summer. I love windsurfung so much - sea, surfboard, me and the wind..

It sounds like you and Ange hit it off! The bloggers I have met have come across so well in their writing that I wasn't really surprised that we got along so well. I have been lucky.

Looking forward to seeing your antiquing pictures!

XO,
Jane

MY GOODNESS, what a lovely place! The waters look choppy and fierce like that of New England where I lived, as opposed to the west coast in California where I grew up. Julie, how lucky of you to meet up with your BLOG PAL! Ohhhh, one day, ONE DAY I will get to all my destinations!

HAVE FUN DEAREST! Anita

How lovely that you and Ange+kids could have a meet-up...and I like that you didn't have pictures taken of the event to post...it's good to keep a little mystery going, isn't it? Especially when you have these surfy pictures to post!

Been hearing that OPRAH is coming to Perth and Sydney in January, bringing with her 200 of her audience members who won the trip as a suprise prize...she is THE ONE! Are you hearing any buzz? I guess she's doing a show at the Sydney opera house...wish I'd won the trip!...then I could have a meet-up with you! :)

Bore me with consecutive sea posts? Like that could ever happen, lol. BUT, I do love shopping also.

How wonderful that you got to meet up with a blogging friend from another country. Sounds like you both had a lot of fun. I've had such great experiences meeting bloggers and it's true that you feel right at ease.

Can't wait to read about Noosa!
Thanks for your comment, I really am not great at geography, but many years ago I was trying to move to Australia and the first thing I checked out were the beaches, of course. That's how I knew about the Coral Sea.

So glad to hear you got to meet a fellow blogger...I've been lucky to meet two and it really is like meeting a long time friend. Don't follow Ange but I think thats my loss.
