who has a new TOY?

THAT WOULD BE ME ... and my new CANON sx200is !!

Just took a few 'first shots' of my country style dresser. Was a touch impatient .. so it is not a full shot. That would require a bit of 'editing' (read 'cleaning')

I shouldn't tell you this..

but if you look closely in the mirrored candlesticks you will see;

1) someone's blog on my pc, and

2) my right arm - great camera work!

AND here ... a CLOSE UP of the lamp

which I am pleased to say is 'homemade' by moi

the stones change often..

sometimes black.. sometimes white..

and sometimes ...

strange coloured ones i tried to dye brown using tea and coffee!!

I can see I will have to do some housework if i am to show you any more!!

AND HERE

is the 'beast'

LOVE the Camera

I like this camera because of it's functions, it's whopping big lens for a compact .. and . that it is a CANON. but I also love that it has a vintage sort of look. It was quite a bit cheaper than the Leica in my birthdway wish list.

I now need to take some reasonable photos. The one's I posted here aren't too good.. but it will get better! Thanks everyone

I bought myself a digital SLR for Christmas. It is a fabulous, but I still don't know how to use it properly.
Great lamp and lovely things!

Your dresser, and all the wonderful things you have on it (particularly that lamp!!) are gorgeous. Can't wait to see more. I need to go out and buy a better camera! My photography skill & camera suck.

Thanks for sharing.

I must admit I'm a Canonian as well... :o) Congratulations on your purchase, I hope you'll enjoy using it.

I really like the idea of making a lamp 'stand' (correct english) yourself. It looks very original and I really like the idea of being able to change the contents.
