If It's Tuesday: This must be PARIS

.
.
Just a few snapshots of Paris for your viewing pleasure. There's no denying the beauty of the architecture in Paris. Almost every street or vista will have you in awe of her beauty. However some of my favourites aspects of Paris are simply her storybook rooftops with rows of chimney pots lined up like soldiers.. The quizzical lamp posts standing guard and lighting the way.... and for a bit of humour.. sitting and watching the traffic fighting it's way around the Arc de Triomphe... For all it's historical significance.. it's the crazy traffic below that seems to grab my attention.. Just thankful I didn't try to drive there myself.

Another short post from me... In a rush... but don't forget to check out the giveaways in my sidebar..
And ... a big thanks to Kathleen of Faded Charm our host for White Wednesday
Have a lovely week everyone..

Beautiful images of Paris. My 17 year old daughter went to France last year with a school trip (from Australia) and she fell in love with Paris. Hubbie and I hope to visit in 18 months so these images are really wetting my appetite.

Lovely chimneypots, Julie! I'd rather sit and look at chimneypots (verre de vin rouge in hand) than queue for the Louvre any day.

yes, it's the feeling of life being lived forever here....the charm of grey skies and grand architecture....If that is Paris, I must be 19!...it has been awhile since I experienced such french delight....thanks for the memories.....

A quartet of beauties. I am a fan of rooftops. Hannah had a great rooftop view last year with the window right by her desk for dreaming instead of studying. Maybe it harkens back to Mary Poppins and the chimney sweep scenes?

I hesitate to jinx it but it seems the internet issues have lessened? Hooray!

Julie, because my dreams of being a world traveler will probably never come true, I thank you for your amazing photos. I love the views that you share of the unique in all these countries and cities. You even make the rooftops look like art.

You are such a smart girl, to let someone else do the driving. You wouldn't be able to enjoy the city, if you're trying to keep from getting hit, or (in my case) hitting someone else.
hugs to you from here...

As I used to work for a French bank, all my travels to Paris were business related. I was lucky if I could only able to steal couple hours for myself. It is a beautiful town..

You've captured the city beautifully and reminded me of the craziness of the traffic there. The cars seem to circle endlessly around like a merry go round.
They think nothing of honking their horns....so unlike passive Americans. My father used to honk his horn all the time here.....I guess he never became americanized...haha

Ahhhh, Pareee! My favorite parts of the city are its bridges and the quirky little art and book stalls along the walkways.

Hope you're having a good week...

The photos are lovely. My niece just got back from Paris. You know it isn't on my "if I could fly I'd go to..." list. That is a terrible thing to say in the land of Blog. I always say I'd go to Italy, Australia and Hawaii if I would just get on a plane.

That's one of my favorite things, too. Have you seen Irma Vep, the film? Probably. Well, those scenes of Maggie Cheung hopping around the roofs of Paris...wow. Just gave me an idea. Maybe. xoxoxo from DC to Sydney!

Dear Julie,
Such wonderful images of the beautiful city of Paris....when I was quite young, someone told me to always look UP when visiting a city or towm. There are always such lovely architectural details to be seen. Rooftops and chimneys make such a great photograph too.
Hope all's well with you and you are enjoying some warmer weather. It's definitely getting chilly here, so I'm a little envious. XXXX
