Pink & Green
.

I thought it was time for me to get on the Valentine's Day bandwagon, so here are some flowers for you to enjoy.
.

A study of Lisianthus in Pink & Green. Both the colours of love and healing. Both representing the Heart Chakra 'Anahata'. Pink for emotional health, joy and happiness. Green for physical well being, relaxation and renewal.
.

I hope you are all feeling 'in the pink' this week and not working too hard!!

Although we can often get Lisianthus in a range of colours here in Australia, those in these images are actually white.. but a bit of hocus pocus ... and voila .. pink!! And... in case you think that green bottle is a strange hospital appliance, it is actually a vintage wine decanter... the centre piece holds ice without diluting the wine.

Thank you so much Julie! I was actually feeling a little "sub-optimal" this morning. This post has helped all my ducks to get back into a V formation. Hope your week is travelling lightly upon your shoulders. Meredy xo.

It seems we are usually on here at opposite hours of the day! The pictures are gorgeous...I love the first one. I've been working on my Valentine tablescape, so I finally got a bit "in the mood" myself. I don't make much fuss of Valentine's Day.

Sunny and 27 degrees in my part of the world...are you enjoying your warm days?

Julie, I´m totally amazed, everytime I see your photos, and I must say, this is one of my favorite post! The images are beautiful!
It´s something so romantic over it all, that I can almost smell it all the way to my "winterland" =).

I promise you, I wont work too hard, if you do the same =).

I saw your comment on my previous post.
My email adress was there, but very hard to find.... So I made it easier, I guess Carole missed it too, so I knew about Jackies birthday, from Magdalena =). Thank you for trying!

Take care my sweet friend!
Hugs/

I love Lisianthus, Julie. I usually see them in white more than the pink here in the U.K.The only thing that I find with them is they often wilt and hang their heads !!...mind you, it's probably me. I'm really good with plants and flowers in the garden but, bring them inside and something bad happens. I think that I kill them with kindness !!
Yours look beautiful though, and I love that antique pink colour. XXXX

Beautiful, Julie! Is this the Latin name for the flower. I haven't heard of it before. It's lovely though!

I know it's not a contest, but that second photo, with the shadows, is the winner. It gets to go on to the next round, which it also wins, and is in the finals now, sitting beside the ubiquitous Mr George Clooney. It's a tense moment.

I have to confess I don't know lisianthus. What is its common name? Anyway they are lovely. No thanks to V Day. Urrggh. But it is always nice to think of love and flowers, any time of the year xoxo

My adorable Julie - you must put together a book of your photographs and have it published. It would belong on every coffee table in the world.

How's your week been??

Hello Ruby - (cause you're surely Ruby today right?). I like the idea of your other fun persona. Maybe I should have an alternative name too?? Someone on the radio today came up with the new name of Voluptua Lovelace which I thought was rather fetching though perhaps not quite what I'm looking for! Hmm, I shall have to keep thinking...

Oh, Lizzies...my favorite flower for styling an interior. They're a bit like wild roses, loose and free, fragile and fleeting. They're a bit rare around here, though, so it's nice to have some today by way of your blog.

Have a wonderful day, today, Julie! Hope your summer stretches out longer than usual...thinking of you at the beach drinking capucinnos...

well of course i love the flowers, any flowers really, but i love your special touch with camera and manipulation! the striking stems in the first shot are a wonderful contrast to the soft blooms. That wine decanter is brilliant...i mean who would want their wine diluted?!
hope you are having a wonderful day....

Lisianthus is one of my favorite flowers....and especially the light pink ones. Resembles a rose but more delicate. I do like pink...it's such a happy color.
I need to get on the Valentine bandwagon too. A little LOVE, flowers and sweet sentiments are always welcomed..... any time of year.
