take afternoon strolls along the beach
.

.
.
.
and snap a few photos
.

.
.
.
of this
.

.

and this

.
.
.
.. So..
I won't make you jealous and tell you how good it feels to be FREE!!
I did though work hard to bring you these images!!

These are great! I love the steps leading right to the water's edge and can easily picture myself walking down them to dip my toes in the surf... mmmmm, nice. What body of water is that, Julie? I don't think you've mentioned that before, or maybe you have and I missed it.

Oh, not fair! I sound like my kids right now, but I would love to join you there! In Iowa there is so much snow on the ground and always more to come that I don't know if Spring will ever get here!
I'm going to sit here wrapped in a blanket and drool over your warm pictures! Enjoy the beach!

Just like Kim said, you are on your beach (on the complete other side of the world) and I am on mine. I even remembered to take my camera this morning on my walk. I got some great sunrise photos. You may be seeing them soon!

Enjoy all you 'work-free' time and think of me, slaving away, stringing roman shades!

Hugs,
Tamerie

So good for you!! You can't make me jealous, my dear, haha! I'm free to do what I want every day too! Love that first photograph, so artful. And I'm always happy when I manage to capture a seagull in flight (over the ocean)!

Have a great weekend too!

You are a brat, you know? You don't have to rub it in, Julie. I'm in the city, rain pouring out my window, kids running around making crazy noises. I so wish I was at the beach. Any beach. Anywhere. I'm not picky. Enjoy your weekend!!! XOXO

rjerdee said...

Fabulous shots, as usual, Julie. I'm so glad you're free to do lots of beach life...our beaches are still unusually cold so we're all about doing indoor things until spring returns. By the time it does, you'll be going into fall--(sigh).

rjerdee said...

Fabulous photos, as usual, Julie. I'm so glad you're able to do lots of beach time. Enjoy the summer while you may! Our beaches are too cold right now, very stormy on this continent...waiting for spring to arrive so we can get back out there. By the time spring arrives here, you'll be heading toward Fall...(sigh).

Dear Julie,
I'm not in the least bit jealous, not at all, sleet, snow and rain are lovely !!!! hahahaha
I am TOTALLY jealous and cannot see a day when it will be warm in the U.K..
Your beautiful photographs are so atmospheric, I can feel the warm breezes, the need for sunscreen and the sound of those little waves, lapping onto the beach.
Enjoy your well-earned time off and relax.
Have a warm weekend. XXXX

Dear Ruby,

So many people (and blogs) I love, love you. How could they not? Your blog is exquisite and your photography is like a painting, you see what we see differently. I think that is probably what being an artist is all about.

Warm regards,
Tish

Beach? Did someone say beach?

You are blessed. I am a water baby that is locked in the middle of the country with no ocean. I love it when you post water pictures, but you know that by now...don't you?

Have a great weekend!

yes...welll... hum....Some of us are LUCKY! I had to work all day and its my birthday, and I battled the lunatic northern beaches traffic, the heat, the flies, all dressed in a suit ( me, not the flies), trying to get bids from people who only want to steal an owners home.....before finishing the day just now....So..go on..rub it in... the feeling of freedom, of sand between the toes, and gentle salt breezes..... and great photography whilst I struggle to even get my camera to focus....... :o)

Oh you lucky thing. If what you see is half as lovely as your camera makes it look, you're living the life. Your laziness is well deserved. I think Ruby was wasted on whatever exactly it was that Julie used to do.

I know you're on a break and everything, but.....more photos please! Don't worry about wounding our tender sensibilities...these photos are divine and totally worth any green-eyes that may develop.

I can't tell you how happy I am for you, that you're having this time to do...whatever. You have an amazingly creative mind Miss JulieRuby and I think it will be very interesting what directions it may take once it's had time to deeply breathe in the fresh, sea air.

Hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Meredy xo.
