Basilica di Sant'Antonio – Padua, Italia
[Taken by me during my 1996 vacation in Italy]
On my last trip to Italy I spent a few days in Venice and was blessed to be given a local tour by a friend who lives in Padua. This photo was taken from his terrace which overlooks the rooftop of Saint Antonio Basilica [Patron Saint for Lost Causes]. How lucky for me to be there during a Full Moon. You know I could not get to see inside the basilica as I was not dressed appropriately! [fair enough]. Even the Saint for Lost Causes couldn't intervene here!
And lyrics contributed by sweet Jacqueline [from Home]
Mr. Moonlight come again please,
Here I am on my knees,
Begging if you please,
And the night you don't come my way,
I pray and pray more each day,
'Cause we love you,
Mr, Moonlight.
The Beatles
We'll be back to 'Le Tour' soon!

Gorgeous!!!
Driving home from work tonight, the moon looked absolutely magnificent. So dramatic and bright.
Love your Le Tour images too - what a brilliant idea for posts!
Love these lyrics and this moon talk - great pics too. xv
I have seen many full moons from my house and love it..., and on clear days it is very bright indeed.
again fantastic photos- there is something about Europe and the roof lines- just beautiful for sure
I thought these photos were from a book or something they are so wonderful.
Oh Julie, that picture makes me long for Italy. You are a very gifted photographer. I've saved this pic as my desktop background so that I can enjoy it some more. I hope you don't mind. Lee :)
P.S. I am crazy about Le Tour De France too!
Thanks everyone. And Lee glad you are enjoying it too. Think it might of been a lucky fluke. It was already getting dark and I doubted my chances of getting this photo. So I am still surprised and happy by it today.
