To The Moon Alice: May 2011

To The Moon Alice
May 2011

Ok I don't really want to 'spoon with you'  but I will share some moon gazing with you. It's time again to dream upon a full moon. I know I'm a little late.. still a little under the weather but that didn't stop me braving the chill air to bring you some shots 'by moonlight'.

La Bella Luna has been spectacular these last few months.. perhaps making up for all the month's she was hidden behind the clouds... and last night she outdid herself, casting a silvery glow upon all in her path... Absolute magic!  A rain of silver splinters falling from heaven.. I do believe she was sharing a little of herself with us...

The last three shots are 'moonshine'. The local sea baths shot by the light of 'The Silvery Moon'..  The most mundane structures become magic under her gaze... Hope that magic rubs off on me!!

Have A Wonderful Week Everyone
And thank you for your kind birthday wishes

If anyone would like to join in on the Moon Madness I'll put the linky up

Beautiful, as always, Julie ... thought of you last night with the full moon. My kids read your comment, and thought it was so funny that you said I was a good "mum". (My mommy is a mummy was the recurring theme for the rest of the night!)

Do you offer tutorials on photography and editing programs. I always enjoy your photos especially your travels to places I will not likely ever see.

Oh, and how are the birds doing?

For a moon loving girl like me this was the perfect post! We couldn't see the moon here last night and won't tonight either, so seeing your pictures today makes my day. Thanks for bring me the moon Julie!

It looks so beautiful and serene. My in-laws are visiting from the US right now so I have no time for blogging or moon-gazing. But I'll be back.

I loved this post today and happened upon it through another blog. I love too when that happens. You know - last night I was seeing the same moon glistening upon the ocean in Sydney Australia and that is cool - i did have a camera. But you did! x

Oh my darling friend, I came here to read your post and did a double-take! What do you mean the full moon was Tuesday? I quick looked at my blog and discovered you were right, of course, I had no doubt. BUT still, I can't believe I missed it this month. Well, actually I can. The beginning of last week I was sick in bed for three days with a horrid chest cold and when I finally can lift my head and get on the computer again, Blogger rebelled and said, NO, you don't missy." Then on Friday I took a terrible fall and severely sprained my ankle. Now, I'm here and find out I missed the MOON!

Well, at least I can always depend on you to share your view with me. AND yes, I would "spoon" with you under the silvery moon. But, it would be real spoons and yes, there would be two. One for you and one for me, along with two bowls of ice cream. We would stare at the moon, get chills from eating the ice cream and I would say, "Happy Birthday Julie, to the moon and back!"

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well either and if I remember correctly, didn't you take a tumble last year?

Silvery hugs and well wishes, thanks for sharing your moon with us.

The moon was spectacular last night and the view from where I was, was indeed magical...I stopped and stared for a few seconds...maybe more...it felt good as the world sat silent, placid...I was comfortable there, I couldn't even feel the cold... I totally enjoyed the silvery light of the moon...it was prefect. Thanks for capturing that magical moment Julie xo

Really love your ruby moon name :))

Crikey! I missed your birthday this year and I feel ashamed :( That's what 3 weeks away from blogging will get me. HAPPY BIRTHDAY from all the way over here, even if it is a little late. Thinking of you from under the light of the silvery moon that gazed through my window. She always sends messages of you… xxx

Julie,
"By the light of the silvery moon"...love that song. I've been in transit and couldn't link up with moonshots of my own. The moon is glorious outside my northern bedroom window in the last couple of days.
The moonshine on the sea along those nets is glorious...a pathway back to the moon.
Wish I could walk on water...I'd be walking on moonshine :)
Hugs,
Becky

so sparkly!....it gave me shivers it was so sparkly. I have taken our bedroom curtains down in anticipation of moving, so we slept with moon beams on our faces....I felt like I was pulling in the night's energy...but it did make it a little hard to sleep...my sweetie was not impressed and is demanding the curtains back....not going to happen darling! I'm in forward motion now! Nice to know it was sparkling on you too! (you really captured it!)....Have a great weekend! best, Susan

Such a calming post. Milk moon or silvery moon. My picks.
