Today I've been working in the garden... Just three weeks of non-gardening has seen the garden overtaken by weeds. Giant strangling weeds reaching to the sky.. propagating and multiplying at a speed even Jack would find impressive. So ... many many hours later.. satisfied that my small world was back in order, I thought I would reward myself with the fruits of my labour.. and bring a little garden love inside!!! Yes my very own roses... Not stolen from a friend, nor neighbour, nor walk along the beach.. No my friends.. these were grown in my own backyard. Well I shouldn't take credit for them as they were here when I moved in!! But I will certainly take pleasure in their delight..

And what a pleasure it is to be able to have roses on hand... Just one or two brightens up my environment.. and seeing I will be flopping on the lounge after all that hard work.. I thought I'd add to the mood with a little ventouse candle magic.. My favourite candle holders are these sweet vintage ventouse ... purchased from France and currently residing in one of my little whitewashed wood and silver boxes. Actually... I could really do with a ventouse treatment after all that gardening.. but considering it might be a little hard to perform the 'cupping' on myself.. I'll settle for the calming relaxing candlelight and the sweet scent of roses from my [now visible] garden....

To The Moon Alice

Another full moon and I'm still dreaming of travel to distant shores. Still going down to the sea, looking out to the horizon and yearning to travel. Well it seems the October moon is also known as the travel moon!!! Perhaps that explains my wanderlust and desire to be out there in the world.. I know I'm a little late with this post, but I have been busy. Busy daydreaming and listening to the moon sing to me. If you go outside and be very still you'll hear he's telling us to:

'Dream A Little Dream'

I hope this full moon weekend .. y'all had a chance to get out there .. watch the moon

Just a few snapshots of Paris for your viewing pleasure. There's no denying the beauty of the architecture in Paris. Almost every street or vista will have you in awe of her beauty. However some of my favourites aspects of Paris are simply her storybook rooftops with rows of chimney pots lined up like soldiers.. The quizzical lamp posts standing guard and lighting the way.... and for a bit of humour.. sitting and watching the traffic fighting it's way around the Arc de Triomphe... For all it's historical significance.. it's the crazy traffic below that seems to grab my attention.. Just thankful I didn't try to drive there myself.
