Waiting For The Storm: & Prayer Wall [Week2]

Being Ruby - Botany Bay Storm 1

~

I’m in the mood for a good storm

The kind where the clouds roll in and the heavens open up and drench the earth with it’s cleansing rain. A good storm should also include some loud cracks of thunder coming in fast succession, closely followed by streaks of lightening splitting the sky. A good storm is like a dam of tension finally overflowing and bursting at the seams.

~

Yep … I’m in the mood for a good storm

I’m also in the mood for some beauty in my life, so here is the Project Prayer Wall Week 2. As week 2 proved to be a little crazier than Week 1, little time was spent on the Prayer Wall, so I thought I’d supplement this post with some of my altered photos of Botany Bay.

Amazing photos, as always, JulieRuby. Hope your project is progressing as hoped and you can soon enjoy some R&R. In view of the heat that Sydney is having, I am "sending" you a virtual jug of your favourite icy-cold cocktail to kick back and help you relax. Meredith xo.

So beautiful Julie! You are really so talented and artistic. It's a shame work has to get in the way of all the things our hearts want to spend time on! I hope it all gets easier for you soon.
Take care my friend,
Laura

Fabulous storm brewing in your photograph, Julie. I love the sulphur yellow clouds, promising a right humdinger of a storm.
Sorry to hear week 2 was worse than week 1 !!!! Don't know how you stand the pressure....but, you're a profesional. You know how to handle these things, unlike me....I'd be a quivering wreck!! Hope week three proves to be a little calmer for you and your colleagues. Great prayer wall photographs, too..... love the soldier(?) on horseback.
Take care of yourself, Julie. I can't wait to have you back in blogland. Lots of love and look after yourself. XXXX

I join you in loving a good storm! Remind me to send you a poem I wrote of one when I was 17. On second thoughts - cringe cringe - I'll just vigorously nod my head in agreement with your words and spare you the rest!!! Loved seeing Botany bay for the first time! Bisous

Hi Julie! so nice to see a post from you... with such beautiful photos and text! I am sure I'm not the only one missing you my dear. Sounds like a storm would suit you perfectly and perhaps clear the air of all your hard work? Does it ever end? I have not had time for blogging either and I'm surprised at how much i have missed it...so much to catch up on. Your last comment to me and breaking into song was the best ever! Cracked me up...thank you so much! Here's hoping you get some well deserved time for yourself. I hope it storms like crazy on you sweety! take care, Erin

Julie~~~

I am not so in favor of big storms, as we are prone to tornado's here. But I do love a good rainstorm with a bit of thunder. Now you must think how meek I really am. And I am!! lol!!

Love your pictures. You are a true talent.

Have a lovely evening/morning...

I think many of us are missing in action the past few days. I've had a husband home since Thursday, so we have been busy getting out the Christmas things, putting up the tree and shopping. We have to celebrate early with part of the family...so, I have to get ready early. I have several things in my head to blog about...just can't stay awake to write them.

I hope the project is coming along well and look forward to your active return! Love the pictures.

in reply to your comment, thank you btw, there are at least 8 HUGE maple trees on this property where i live. mostly the leaves are dry looking and brittle by the time i rake, but some times you find a little treasure. xxL

Come on over to London ... we've had plenty of them ... not quite storms, but lots and lots of rain!
I'm sorry to hear that week 2 was worse than the first.
Hope it will all slow down for you soon.
Love the pics!!! Hurry back!

Hi Julie,
Boy where have I been??? You did this post on Saturday and I'm just seeing it now. The weekend was crazy! as expected.
You're like me you get bored with the same old weather. A storm would probably give you some relief from the heat which you could use by now. Your images are gorgeous....wouldn't it be great if the skies could really look that color. It reminds me of an ornament I have.....boy I think I've been in my shop too much....comparing the sky to a Christmas ornament!:)))
Hope you get a break soon!!!
love ya and miss ya!

We had an absolute ripper here on Sat. night. As MOTH would say 'Thunder & lightening - very, very frightening!' We lost one of my favourite trees, an old Hawthorn right in front of our bedroom window. I got very upset seeing MOTH loading all the broken branches in his truck to take to the Dump. It offered such wonderful shade during Summer.

Hello, Julie!

Lovely to see another wonderful post :) I feel the very same -- so appreciative of the people that I have been fortunate to "meet" through blogging. Who knew? I certainly didn't expect this, but am very thankful.
