Christmas Spirit: Little Madonnas of Rome

Getting Into The Christmas Spirit

About time I got into the Christmas Spirit. Starting with one of my little 'Madonnelas' that are peppered throughout Rome gracing the already stunning architecture. Little poppets of love & devotion found when you least expect it. Today I only have time for this one situated near the Pantheon.  You can see why ..

OMG, I wish I had this picture, or rather, an object of this beauty in my home!!! Oh Julie, how you dazzle us with your style!!!!

Dearest, we have NO SNOW so our weather has been WONKY TOO!!!! It was actually too warm yesterday to wear a coat; it reminded me of my California Christmases as a child. But we here in Minnesota are used to FREEZING COLD and tons of snow. Thank you for visiting and YES, I do wish I had the source of that smiling horse!!!!

Be well, be happy, and enjoy the LOVE of the season!!! Anita

Hello Julie,

This is a beautiful little painting of our Blessed Mother. The kindness radiates from it.

My best for a great week.

Such history and beauty must be hard to take in. I'm sure some of it seeps in later when you are home. How you must wish you could just have one more moment to soak it all in.
I'm glad we get to enjoy it with you.

hugs
