To The Moon Alice: 11-11-11

I Guess He Didn't Hear Me

11-11-11

Hi Everyone!!.. I'm very late with my moon post!! This month Full Moon fell on Friday 11th of November. Remembrance Day for Australians and other countries of the Allied Forces of the First World War. A day to honour those that fought and commemorate the Armistice signed on this day in 1918, that eventually brought about the end to the war.

Each year.. millions of people around the world observe a minutes silence on the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11 Month..  This year was a little different..  For it was also the 11th Year . There's been much  hype as to the significance of this numerical event. The repetitions of 11's has long been thought to signify both remembrance and a start to new beginnings.. better times.. A chance to reboot one's life.  So this year millions stopped to pause and not just remember, but hope for peace for our futures.

AS ALWAYS I took myself off to the beach to watch the moon rise and reflect on what has been and what will come.. To see the moon's light dance across the water and spread a pathway to my feet fills me with anticipation and excitement for tomorrow.. The fullness of her energy is contagious... and I do believe she was radiating HOPE...  So that is what I will name her this month.. The HOPE Moon.

She's still playing in our skies..
So get out there ... enjoy her brilliance and

Catch A Bit Of Hope!!

Oh, Julie! The Hope Moon. Yes. It's light dancing on the water, the sea bird bowing a greeting. Perfect images. You've caught the essence of what, we, the world, are all longing for at this moment. Hope.

There's just nothing like the sight of the moon rising over the sea, is there? How lucky you were to see this last week, beautiful images.

Your moon shots are so illuminated they almost look like high noon, rather than high moon! Lovely.

Hi Julie,
I'm drowning in moonlight as I walk my walk early in the morning...it's wonderful to walk in the landscape when it's so well lit. However, I must get myself to the beach as the moon sails over the edge of the earth and the sun comes up on the other side...this post is exquisite.

Just gorgeous Julie...love the slight color you kept in the sky. The reflection in the water. I try doing that but it never comes out like I see it.

I know all about being late these days ...should be my middle name.

hugs
Carole

You certainly know your moons, Julie! The photos are lovely, but then that's nothing new when it comes to your photography.
Hope you are doing well, and enjoying your summer. Here, it is freezing!
